Do you remember how, as a child, you had some experiences that felt overwhelming and difficult to sort out? I help children make sense of what is happening in their lives. I help them put words to those big feelings so they can talk about it without feeling so overwhelmed. My undergraduate degree is from Wesleyan University, and my Master’s is from Gallaudet University. I’m licensed in the District of Columbia and am a nationally certified play therapist. The elementary school on Gallaudet’s campus was the launch pad for my career in working with children. My experience there led me to a role in the training department and experience as a national trainer in play therapy. I specialize in play therapy with deaf and hard of hearing children. In addition to a thriving private practice, I teach graduate classes in Play Therapy for the Department of Counseling and the Department of Social Work at Gallaudet. I also provide national supervision and training for counseling to deaf and hard of hearing children. Please send me an email or call (202) 396-3880 for a free 20 minute consultation.
